Ernest Max, M.D., F.A.C.S.
CRC's fourth physician to join our group has retired from practice and is now the group's CEO and Chief Medical officer. Dr Max oversees all day-to-day operations of the 8 CRC locations throughout Houston and the Business Office located in the Smith Tower.
Dr Max is certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery.
He joined CRC in 1975 after becoming the second graduate of the CRC fellowship program. He has served as Chief of Staff at the Memorial Southwest Hospital, Member of the Executive Committee of the Methodist Hospital, President of the Texas Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Memorial Hospital System.
He currently also serves as Medical Director of the Texas International Endoscopy Center.
